A Storytelling Workshop For All Ages

Workshop is all about: SAVING YOUR FAMILY STORIES

Why do we need to preserve our family stories? What stories need to be told? Gathering those tales before they are lost. How do we save our own oral histories? Learn recording methods and how to consolidate a bunch of quips and anecdotes into a story. The stories that accompany family heirlooms from sterling silver tea sets to broken squirt guns.

Michael Reno Harrell is an award winning songwriter, as well as a veteran storyteller and entertainer, and he's from the South...the Southern Appalachian Mountains to one it a bit finer. Michael's natural knack for storytelling, in print, song and spoken word has earned him praise from not only the music community but from the literary and storytelling worlds as well, having had the honor of being a Featured Teller at the National Storytelling Festival and serving as Teller In Residence at the International Storytelling Center, as well as performing at major storytelling events across the US and British Isles.

David Holt - Four time Grammy winner and nationally acclaimed musician/storyteller: "Michael Reno Harrell is one of those natural born Southern musicians and storytellers who is filled with wit, charm and surprises. Whether the story is in song or narrative, Michael will draw you in and entertain you, all the while making you feel right at home." Michael at the National Storytelling Festival
